 Richard Egan co-founder of EMC, shot him self by shotgun. In this way he defeated deadly lung cancer he was suffering from. He started as Electrical Engineer, In 1979 co-founded EMC with Roger. He retired in January 2001 as Chairman Emeritus.Forbes magazine placed him at 285th in its list of rich Americans in 2005.
